All of our collections, have a meaning behind...
For this collection we were inspired in KAUAI, Hawaii oldest island. Kuai is a place where worries vanish in the trade winds, warm saltwater laps the golden sands.
Sabrina was inspired in her grandmothers house, where she lived since she was a little girl. A very curious girl, who opened every drawer in the house, constantly finding pearls, beads, and ancient stones. This collection is meant to honor her grandmother, and the beautiful story behind her home. Every piece from the collection, has unique stones that remind her of prints, findings and jewelry that her grandma use to have.
Even though this was in Venezuela, Kauai landscape reminded her of home and she new this was Kapalina's new home.
The prints behind the collection:
Kapalina's iconic flower: Hibiscus (🌺), obviously had to be included in the print. Circling back to her grandmothers house, Sabrina was inspired by the Ceramics in the bathrooms of the house, who was built in the 1950's.
The postcards symbolize the letters she would like to send to her grandmother, and where she would like to be at this moment - Hawaii...
Every drawing in these postcards was hand- drawn by Maria Claudia Garcia, and the agency behind her: "I am branding".
